I just got my sapphire with chestnut leather, and I already had the standard 6x Pro. Honestly the Sapphire is a bit harder to read than the gorilla glass, but with the backlight on the sapphire is much better. But the gorilla glass one is noticeably clearer and easier to see. I am a bit torn, but given how hard I am on my devices, I am prob The 1.4 inch screen doesn't seem to be affected by the solar rim on the fenix 7x, and the screen seems to be larger than the one of the epix. The 965 also has some really good battery life with title to wake (23 days I think) while the epix is 16 days but the the 7x is. By far the 6x is worth it over the other two, the larger screen and changes to the UI widget interface is awesome. I wear mine 24/7 and have not yet scratched the Theres is no Fenix 6X Plus model, well nothing listed on Garmins website. I have since purchased (have to wait 3 weeks) a 6X pro solar (82 grams) The 6X Pro (non solar) is 93 grams. I wanted to keep weight down, thus going to the Solar model. The 5X plus (Titanium is 87g rams) 96 grams. Being only 4mm bigger, the 7X doesn’t seem that much larger, but it packs that extra $100 price punch and a thicker band.
