5 posts 路 Joined 2007. #1 路 Sep 4, 2007. I just got an 07 Renegade 800 about a month ago. A buddy just did my 300 km/10 hour maintenance for me. Everything went fine, but we can't find how to turn off the "Maintenance Soon" message that comes up every time you turn the key on. My manual says that it can only be done at the dealer.

I'll change all fluids (oil) and grease all zerks. While I have my panels out, I'll clean the clutches surfaces and belt. Also put anti-seize on the belt cover bolts.

Now you can raise the engine enough to get at the bolts.I used a large crowbar with a rag around it and gently lifted the engine while putting pieces of wood under it. I used varying thicknesses of wood to achieve the highest point. The bolts are 8mm with a Torx 27 in the center.
The third place it can leak from is engine oil from between bearing carrier and engine cases. There should be a nice layer of rtv on the upside of the single bearing carrier picture. What can happen is they didn't get enough rtv between cases and bearing carrier. This was more common on the early v twins though.
