Posts: 136. MC Mondeo dual clutch automatic problems. It looks as if the Ford wet clutch transmission develops a similar problem to the dry clutch, sadly. My car is an October 2012 MC Mondeo Titanium, 2.0L turbo petrol with the dual clutch automatic. I bought it as a demo in July 2013, with 8000 km on the clock and it’s currently showing 67,000.
I have a 2013 Focus auto and about 6 weeks ago I had a similar problem. It was shuddering so much that I had a "Transmission Malfunction" warning message. A mechanic put it down to me not pressing down hard enough on the pedal and after discovering that I'd filled up with Tesco petrol, he wasn't surprised it was showing the message as I usually
Ford Mondeo - Ford Mondeo 2.0 petrol Ecoboost reliability? - Matt@ This one has caught my eye. Seems quite quick and a bit frugal on fuel and also I can only see them in auto form ( ideally I want an auto) So is the Mondeo 2.0 petrol Ecobbost engine any good? Also how good is the auto gearbox?
Monday 13th May 2019. There are dry clutch and wet clutch Powershift gear boxes. I have a Mondeo, a 2016 210bhp with Powershift. There was no option for manual gearbox for this. So long as you
The second thing to consider is what viscosity or grade of oil you need. Most oil manufacturers have a strict recommendation for the turbo-diesel in your Mondeo, and that’s a 0W30 oil. Straying from this viscosity could be asking for trouble as that’s the oil the engine was designed to use.
Its to do with the hub rotating speed and synchros not lining up with enough friction behind them.Think you'll find after u change your oil it'll be even worse. For worn sync probs transmission specialist reccomend using a 10/40 or 5/30 engine oil in gearbox as its not as bulky as fords own 75/90 stuff.
When test-driving a Mondeo, check the automatic transmission thoroughly as there have been a few issues that can result in an expensive repair bill. The transmission is scheduled for servicing every 60,000km, and neglecting this can lead to serious problems. As with many European cars, brake disc rotors are prone to wear and may need replacing
Those include low transmission-fluid level, low fluid-pressure caused by a worn pump or accumulators, a damaged torque converter or worn out bands and clutches inside the gearbox. The low fluid level is easy to check and address, but anything else probably points to either a new gearbox of a rebuild of the current one.
Have a 97 Ford Mondeo Auto 2.0. Having some kind of problem with the transmission. Lost 3rd & 4th gear comepletely for a day which mysteriously reappeared and now it appears to be pulling/jerking when changing down from 3rd to 2ndalmost right on 45km ph regardless of the rpms. Spoken to a couple of mechanics & transmission dudes including
4,898. First thing to do is get the gearchange cables checked and adjusted. Gearboxes on these are usually extremely durable, cable problems can lead to jumping out of gear occasionally. It is more likely to be a clutch or hydraulic problem than something physically wrong with the box. 19 Mar 2009 at 20:12. #3.
